The Movement Story was born out of a simple, profound belief: long before we learn to speak, reason, or intellectualise, our bodies speak first.
Our bodies tell stories— of where we have been, how we navigate the world, and what we long to express. Every posture we adopt, every physical memory our muscles hold, and every subtle gesture we make carries meaning. Yet as we navigate the demands of daily life, many of us can gradually tune out our body’s quiet wisdom.
The Movement Story was founded to bridge this gap through Dance Movement Therapy. This practice offers an open, safe container to explore what is present for you—free from pressure or expectations. Here, you are invited to reconnect with your body and cultivate an authentic, embodied relationship with yourself and others, at a pace that feels true to you.
Creating a secure, compassionate container where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and met as you are.
Providing a grounded space for emotional expression and processing when needed, and leaving room for lightness, play and joy.
Grounded in SEN experience and respect for all life stages, celebrating unique nervous systems and all communication styles
Honouring your natural body language and unique movement story without performance, expectation, or judgment.
Inviting gentle awareness to felt sensations, offering space to bridge body and mind at your own pace.
